The Hotel Tout

The Tumut and Adelong Times 9 May 1902
Just listen for a moment and I'll tell you all about
The modus operandi of the Railway Station tout.
He walks along beside you, and in glowing terms will dwell
On the merits of the "Take-you-in-and-fleece-you-all" Hotel.
The house, you soon discover, is appropriately named,
And doesn't boast a single thing which for it had been claimed,
To eat the meals would constitute a suicidal crime,
And the bedrooms will provide you with a very "lively" time.
A good hotel requires no tout, so visitors take care!
And seek the Crystal Palace—for they have no runner there.
