We run the Railways of New South Wales,
We take the people, the freight, the mails.
Chorus
Hi-ya Chuff Chuff, Hi-ya Chuff Chuff,
Hi-ya Chuff Chuff, Hi-ya Chuff Chuff,
Hi-ya. Hi-ya. NESOWARA, Hi-ya.
We take the folk of the gleaming track,
We take you there and we bring you back.
We are the lads of the iron roads,
Beating all records at hauling loads.
We open counlry, develop land,
We are a useful, a happy band.
We pioneer Mother Earth's increase,
We work for fact'ry, for farm, for peace.
Transport is vital in every sphere,
Better and better we'll grow each year.
That is our object all through the years,
Here's to success in three hearty cheers.
Come sing our song of the gleaming rail,
Dear NESOWARA we greet you- Hail!
After the last verse only an extra "Hi-ya"-sung quickly.
